dzamiradzafri ::: Favorites 2007-12-10 11:38:54 i think he was having a rough time during that time, and it fits House's personality so much thats probabaly why he got the part? __________________________________________________
BekurahToshin ::: Favorites 2007-12-09 06:43:01 No one... NO one else... could have been House, no way. Hugh was meant for that role. And this just so proves that. lol ^^ __________________________________________________

katie2333 ::: Favorites 2007-09-29 11:42:20 hugh looks quite unhappy(even though i know hes acting) in this clip poor divil i read somewhere he suffers from depression its sad when talented people like hugh always seem to be unhappy __________________________________________________
CecilleMae ::: Favorites 2007-08-04 16:17:30 Yeah I liked the movie, but the director was a bitch and Hugh was generally quite unhappy during the filming. You can tell when you watch the bonus matierals on the DVD. __________________________________________________
bohemianhysteria ::: Favorites 2007-08-04 14:50:34 Yeah watching it right now... yeah it sort of looks like it but in this movie he actually had his accent and he was really good. __________________________________________________

EvilMert ::: Favorites 2007-07-13 18:28:48 I get up in the morning and watch American dramas until House finishes, then I paint my house until teatime. Not an hard life I know but while channel four and five are showing some great TV, BBC and ITV is full of shite. Long live American Drama and thanks for taking our actors on board. They'd be doing bugger all here. __________________________________________________

jadetheripper ::: Favorites 2007-06-03 15:12:29 this is funny, because house is supposed to be talking to cuddy, and whoever's reading cuddy's lines is a guy. it just makes me laugh. __________________________________________________
rksportsy1 ::: Favorites 2007-05-27 14:07:45 His accent is perfect! I'm American and I didn't know that he was english until I had watched the show for a year. I think the American accent is much better suited for House's character. an english accent just wouldn't fit __________________________________________________ |

6StringPassion ::: Favorites 2007-08-10 16:33:56 Well, let there be no doubt about JT's vastly under appreciated skill as a fingerstyle guitarist. He's a such a profound composer and vocalist that his finesse on the fret board goes largely unnoticed. It appears that this clip is from the early 70's. He was obviously quite good from a very young age. Really impressive. I wish he would do a CD of just fingerstyle instrumentals on acoustic. __________________________________________________

cdmaven ::: Favorites 2006-08-24 15:41:30 Not to split hairs, but this is actually a very old song called "Greensleeves". Whoever wrote "What Child Is This" must have borrowed the melody. In any case, James does a nice job. Thanks to RC for posting this and all the other JT clips. __________________________________________________

The ABC's of DADA (2 of 3)

Description: EXCERPTS FROM DADA TEXTS: I say unto you: there is no beginning and we do not tremble, we are not sentimental. We are a furious Wind, tearing the dirty linen of clouds and prayers, preparing the great spectacle of disaster, fire, decomposition.* We will put an end to mourning and replace tears by sirens screeching from one continent to another. Pavilions of intense joy and widowers with the sadness of poison. Dada is the signboard of abstraction; advertising and business are also elements of poetry. Science disgusts me as soon as it becomes a speculative system, loses its character of utility-that is so useless but is at least individual. I detest greasy objectivity, and harmony, the science that finds everything in order. Carry on, my children, humanity . . . Science says we are the servants of nature: everything is in order, make love and bash your brains in. Carry on, my children, humanity, kind bourgeois and journalist virgins . . . I am against systems, the most acceptable system is on principle to have none. The beginnings of Dada were not the beginnings of an art, but of a disgust. Disgust with the magnificence of philosophers who for 3000 years have been explaining everything to us (what for? ), disgust with the pretensions of these artists-God's-representatives-on-earth, disgust with passion and with real pathological wickedness where it was not worth the bother; disgust with a false form of domination and restriction *en masse*, that accentuates rather than appeases man's instinct of domination, disgust with all the catalogued categories, with the false prophets who are nothing but a front for the interests of money, pride, disease, disgust with the lieutenants of a mercantile art made to order according to a few infantile laws, disgust with the divorce of good and evil, the beautiful and the ugly (for why is it more estimable to be red rather than green, to the left rather than the right, to be large or small?). Disgust finally with the Jesuitical dialectic which can explain everything and fill people's minds with oblique and obtuse ideas without any physiological basis or ethnic roots, all this by means of blinding artifice and ignoble charlatans promises. As Dada marches it continuously destroys, not in extension but in itself. From all these disgusts, may I add, it draws no conclusion, no pride, no benefit. It has even stopped combating anything, in the realization that it's no use, that all this doesn't matter. What interests a Dadaist is his own mode of life. But here we approach the great secret. Every product of disgust capable of becoming a negation of the family is Dada; a protest with the fists of its whole being engaged in destructive action: Dada; knowledge of all the means rejected up until now by the shamefaced sex of comfortable compromise and good manners: Dada; abolition of logic, which is the dance of those impotent to create: Dada; of every social hierarchy and equation set up for the sake of values by our valets: Dada; every object, all objects, sentiments, obscurities, apparitions and the precise clash of parallel lines are weapons for the fight: Dada; abolition of memory: Dada; abolition of archaeology: Dada; abolition of prophets: Dada; abolition of the future: Dada; absolute and unquestionable faith in every god that is the immediate product of spontaneity: Dada. |

dojokonojo ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 04:37:09 The way i learned it, along with the other modernist things, was a an artistic movement in rebellion against previously established values.
