- This was the first heavy day of the Ted Arcidi bench press routine. I stopped the routine after this workout because I couldn't complete the 185x6,6,6,6 that was supposed to be done during this session.

Yea, I workout Monday's, tuesday's, thursday's, and friday's. And I bench on mondays, and go lighter on thursdays. Doing back and biceps on tesdays, and legs on fridays. And I think what ur talking about is proggresive overload right? __________________________________________________ |

HI matt,REMEMBER even when you are young do not bench press everyday,I worked out 2 days then took one off,BUT I think its better e o day,also you will have good energy days and bad ,when your feeling good push the extra lifting and when your not feeling it lift but do not go over board,when I started rolling was at 16 I was benching 160lbs 10-12 then in a few weeks added 10 lbs and kept this up till I was benching 205 10-12 reps for 6-8 sets 2 days on 1 off. __________________________________________________ |

Damn, I hope toget to that strength bye 18. But I think going light is the best idea for you rite now. Im not calling you old or anything, im just sayin that you could hurt ur joints more easily now. So...nice. __________________________________________________ |

I started at 14 could only lift 70 bench,I got a bench and the old 120lb set,BY 18 I was benching 310 1 rep and did 270 5 reps,now im 44 and in great shap but do not lift heavy anymoe I use 35lb dumbells for most. __________________________________________________ |
