(I've seen many people using the song and the same idea.)...That doesn't bug me so much, but what does bug me is that some people use the descrip that I made down below, without asking...If you guys want to use it, all you have to do is ask. I won't bite. Ok, first off, you should not watch this movie if you have not yet seen Advent Children. (though with all the videos being released, you've probably seen most of the movie already. jk) So, unless you don't want to spoil it for yourself, I wouldn't recomend watching this video. Ok, so on to the movie. The idea in this movie is a bit different from any other that I've seen before. It is from Jenova's PoV. Or rather, it's her ''singing'' the song. I tried to give it sort of a haunting feeling, since that's the way the music sounds. (but I don't know if I managed in doing that) It mainly focuses on Sephiroth and Kadaj, and the affect she has on both of them. There is also some reference to the game, so if you've not played it yet, then some of it might not make sense. Ok, here's the lyrics. Next to each part, I'm going to show you how each part fits with movie. (or not) Here are the lyrics and descriptions. Hush, Child, The darkness will rise from the deep and carry you down into sleep Child, the darkness will rise from the deep and carry you down into sleep Guile Son, I'll shape your belief (Jenova is what Kadaj believes in. It is all he's living for.) And you'll always know that your father's a thief (Professor Gast *or Hojo, for the life of me, I can't remember which one started the project* "stole" Jenova's power and life force to create Sephiroth. Because of how they were created, Sephiroth is pretty close to being Jenova's literal child. (though Lucretia (sp?) was the one who gave birth to him.) He was born with Jenova's "stolen" cells already in him. So, their father "stole" Jenova's cells. Anyway... moving on) And you won't understand the cause of your grief (Kadaj doesn't know everything about his "mother" and what she wants to do. All he knows is that she's his Mother and he wants her to be happy. And is hurt if something were to happen to her.) But you'll always follow the voices beneath (again, if you've seen the movie, this part fits pretty well. Cloud asks him about what's going to happen, and Kadaj replies that he doesn't know, but Mother will tell him.) Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Only to me Guile Son Your spirit will hate her The flower who married my brother the traitor (Ok, this was the hardest part of the song, since a lot of it doesn't fit. I know she didn't marry Cloud in the game, but they did have some feelings for eachother.) *romantic or not, I'm not going to discuss that. That's one of the biggest fights ever, and I don't plan on getting into it. ^_^;* And you will expose his puppet behavior (This should make allot of sense if you have played the game. Not going to explain it. Just play the game. It's VERY good! ^_^) For you are the proof of how he betrayed her (And no, Cloud did not betray Aeris/th, but this is supposed to mean, that because of Sephiroth/Jenova, Cloud feels guilty for her death. That is very clear in the movie, because he blames himself for her death.) For the child of my body, (Sephiroth) the flesh of my soul (Kadaj) Will die in returning the birthright he stole (Kadaj dies...trying to help reclaim the "birhtright" Sephiroth had said he deserved. The birthright of the Cetra.)
