Description:
The title track to this album has the unfortunate job of being the song right before Xanadu, and because of it, many of my friends would just fast-forward past this tune. Idiots. Even though the bass line of this tune is not as difficult as YYZ or La Villa Strangiato, I still believe that Geddy wrote one of the most incredible bass lines for this tune, and it is a must-play for any Geddy fan. Then, 30 years later, I come to mess it up....XD I cannot stand sitting through the first part, as you can see with me dinking until my real job came up. Apologies for the slide noise at the beginning....I should have set a higher noise gate. C'est la vie. |

mrduckbutt ::: Favorites I love Rush and Rickenbackers, and for the most part this sounds good (esp. the tone). But you ought to invest some time learning scales - all the off notes in this clip make it almost unlistenable. 07-08-13 22:56:23 _____________________________________________________
tigernutt ::: Favorites Thanks Zodiak for your continued video postings. I'm a huge Rush and Maiden fan. Currently trying to learn to play bass at my +40 age, lol. This is my favorite song from the record. 07-08-13 16:33:25 _____________________________________________________

zodiakironfist ::: Favorites Everyone has different tastes. Some like their Rush in unadulterated Geddy-bourne form, and they give me hell. If that floats their boat, fine. For me, I enjoy expressing myself through a tune...keeping it the "same" but at the same time, different. I try not to over-indulge, but I fail at that sometimes and have to absorb a bit of criticism. A matter of taste. Thanks for the +ve comment. 07-07-26 18:01:12 _____________________________________________________
turydragon ::: Favorites that was pretty sweet man. i noticed you added some improve stuff but it sounded very good. maybe eternusdiablous doesnt know theres no bass in the intro? hehe 07-07-26 17:44:57 _____________________________________________________
zodiakironfist ::: Favorites I was jacking around in the beginning of the tune, as noted in the blurb. There is no bass during that part. 07-07-25 15:28:46 _____________________________________________________ |
