Frenchiic ::: Favorites 2008-01-05 06:31:55 On lead vocal Sylver Logan Sharp. The orther girl is Jill Jones who was before produced by Prince. It's the only time Jill Jones jammed with CHIC. On drumms it's legendary Omar Hakim who took the place of Tony Thompson. __________________________________________________
drebaby54 ::: Favorites 2007-12-24 14:22:36 The original members were cofounders Nile Rogers on guitar, the late Bernard Rdgers on bass, Tony Thompson on Drums, with singers Norma Jean Wright and Luci Martin. Norma jean went solo and was replaced by Alfa Anderson. I saw them live with Sister Sledge in the summer of 1980 at the Michigan State fair... the violins were jammin on this tune!! __________________________________________________
wmse ::: Favorites 2007-12-22 10:47:53 and again one of the most beautiful videos on youtube (chic-i want your love-live in japan 2003)is deleted. WHY?Who benefits from deleting this?Is it Mister Nile Rodgers himself ? I cannot believe that!Is there anyone who knows this? __________________________________________________
leketoob ::: Favorites 2007-12-03 09:46:39 Who's TonY? i thought the guitarist was legendary producer Nile Rodgers of David Bowie (let's dance) and Madonna (Like a Virgin etc) fame. __________________________________________________
mrchic ::: Favorites 2007-11-29 02:59:54 This was live at the Budakon in Tokyo Japan in I think in 1998. I should have been there, lol. But I saw them 5 years later in 2003 in New York. I even got a photo with Nile, it was cool. This music turns me on. __________________________________________________
purpleness64 ::: Favorites 2007-11-22 12:26:12 I love this song also! Thanks so much for posting! __________________________________________________
cpspam ::: Favorites 2007-11-20 08:05:30 Yep, poor Bernard insisted on performing that night despite doctor's orders to immediately hospitalize him. He collapsed on stage later in the gig, recovered a bit, took himself to bed and died during the night. So cruel that he died of over-work and such as great loss to Bass. I recommend listening also to his work on Chic's: Everybody Dance, Le Freak, Good Times, My Forbidden Lover. Also check out James Jamerson -Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On / What's Happening Brother" -another genius. __________________________________________________
cleglide ::: Favorites 2007-11-11 21:45:13 This has to be one of the most romantic, melodic songs in the history of recorded time. I still play it weekly after over 25 years. __________________________________________________
mrchic ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 09:35:53 I'm in tears as I watch this, because bernard left us far too soon, but he also left a music style that will live forever, God bless you. __________________________________________________
abimibola10 ::: Favorites 2007-11-03 16:34:29 The one (bass guitarist) wearing dark glasses is Bernard. I am not sure, but I think the 'dreaded', dark-skinned drummer is Tony. __________________________________________________
silky1700 ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 12:52:13 WHICH ONE IS TONY. __________________________________________________
silky1700 ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 12:34:39 WHICH ONE IS BERNARD. __________________________________________________
noirnoticvibe ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 14:39:27 MY ALL TIME FAVORITE...the album cover is a classic with them posing ...i was about 9 and i thought this was the koolest picture ever and still do __________________________________________________
genesis4kt ::: Favorites 2007-09-22 06:42:14 That is so sad. Have always loved this group. __________________________________________________
mindtpi ::: Favorites 2007-09-13 05:46:57 Bernard Edwards died later on in the night after this concert - in the full video he complains that he hasn't been well in the last song. He was obviously unwell during the concert but he didn't look like he was going to die 12 hours later __________________________________________________ |
