corona116 ::: Favorites 2008-01-20 02:03:55 just remember to give the fiberglass a quick sand if it is cured before puting on more material, and wipe it down with acetone(makes it really soft and sticky) __________________________________________________
GasserGlass ::: Favorites 2008-01-20 01:13:37 Im not sure I know what you asking... im guess you mean the Fiberglass RESIN???...... And yes, You can lay layers of glass while its still wet.... no problem __________________________________________________
WammiBar ::: Favorites 2008-01-19 08:58:12 Nice man! Hey I'm just wondering, what are you coating the gel with before and while your putting the fiberglass on? And do you need to wait for each layer of fiberglass to dry before purring on another? __________________________________________________

GasserGlass ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 18:17:11 ummmmm The very first time I did it, it came out 100% perfect... After all these years Ive been unable to do it perfect again... sooooo, you just have to work at it till you get it and be happy when its good enough to use I guess? __________________________________________________
toxicfrost123 ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 11:03:53 how hard is this to do? __________________________________________________
GasserGlass ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 00:55:58 Wait for each layer of PVA to dry.... mist the first few coats before laying heavy layers...... FOR ME, I wait for the gelcoat to cure 75% or so before laying glass up... I find too dry makes it pull away from the mold... too wet it bleeds and the glass goes through __________________________________________________
rcflybry ::: Favorites 2007-10-30 18:41:00 You do some awesome work Ed!! Got a couple of questions for you if you have the time. How long do you wait between each application of PVA? Also.. Do you wait for the gelcoat to cure before laying up the glass or wait until it starts to "Kick" Thanks for the tutorial!! __________________________________________________
