Многие убежали потом, чтобы спастись, на Русь, в Рязанское, Московское, Суздальское, Нижегородское княжества и составили их великую боевую силу. И когда узурпатор Мамай, выступивший против законного хана Токтамыша, двинулся на завоевание золотоордынского престола, то Дмитрий Донской с потомками этих крещенных татар выступил на Куликово поле и разбил Мамая. А Токтамыш через год выгнал его из Великой степи. Генуэзцы, считая, что татары - народ неполноценный, его убили. На помощь Мамаю спешили литовско-русские войска Ягайло, на выручку Дмитрию законный хан Синей орды Тохтамыш вел предков будущих узбеков и казахов.
